NICK MORRIS

Nick is a recognised expert in accessibility having consulted in the field of Universal Design and Accessibility for over 20 years.

As paraplegic, Nick has experienced first hand the requirements of accessibility while it has also presented opportunities such as winning a gold medal and being a dual Paralympian in wheelchair basketball.  The combination of both experiences elevated to Nick to become an expert consultant to the international Paralympic Committee culminating in Nick winning the Silver Medal for Event Services at the Rushman Event awards in London.

Experience and Services

Nick has provided DDA advice to a range of projects at a Local, National and International level.   Nick has advised on Masterplans for Olympic sites, feasibility studies for residential developments, research projects on Australian Standards and has co written Guidelines for the International Paralympic Committee.

It is his practical knowledge of applying the Australian Standards to the principles of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) across all building types, transport and urban design which include:  Planning and Design Reviews, Masterplan submission, Alternative Solutions, Human Movement Studies and Event Operation Plans
